Earlier my mom was going on about what a pain in the ass my younger siblings are. She said, “even if you weren’t gay, you wouldn’t be interested in kids right?” This was the first time I’ve heard her mention me being gay in a way that was so casual. It caught me off guard. I guess she’s getting used to it.
